As you may have already gathered from my Instagram stories, I have finally jumped on the Poshmark train! I originally signed up as a way to sell some of the gently loved items in my closet. Over the years I have wasted so much time and gas money running around to the Plato’s Closets, Crossroads Trading and other consignment shops in the Chicago-land area hoping to make some money on these pieces. This time around, I’m learning from my past missteps and am taking matters into my own hands.
If you aren’t already familiar with the Poshmark business model, its a platform that connects together users looking to buy and/or sell items. The inventory ranges from clothing, bags, jewelry, accessories and even home decor! Items on the site are anywhere from gently used to new with price tags!
As a Poshmark newbie, I am still learning the lay of the land but plan to share some tricks and tips as a seller as I find success (hopefully!). As for the buy side, I have already gotten myself into a little trouble 🙂 and am excited to share with you all in a future post some of the designer I purchased at a steal and how I was thoughtful before making the decision to buy.
